Reform UK chair demands probe of reported $50,000 SBF-linked donation

Reform UK chair Lee Anderson has called for an investigation into a reported $50,000 political donation that is linked to former FTX CEO Sam “SBF” Bankman-Fried, according to Cointelegraph.
The chair wants the parliamentary commissioner for standards to probe UK Defense Secretary Wes Streeting over donations from the think tank Labour for the Long Term reported for 2022 and 2023.
Cointelegraph reports that Labour for the Long Term’s founder accepted a $675,000 gift from Bankman-Fried before sending funds to Streeting, and that Streeting asked the group for a list of donors before accepting the $50,000, though Bankman-Fried’s name was not included.
