Jim Cramer calls for long-term accumulation of SpaceX stock
Cramer said SpaceX’s Falcon launches deliver about 2,500 tons to orbit annually, while Starlink added 1.7 million subscribers in a single quarter.
On CNBC’s Mad Money aired August 5, Yahoo Finance reports that Jim Cramer told investors to accumulate SpaceX stock for the long term, arguing Elon Musk can secure the capital the company needs for large, long-dated ambitions.
Cramer said Musk has proven he can raise substantial funding, pointing to his ability to raise $44 billion to buy Twitter, and he suggested SpaceX’s path could improve further once it has visibility toward profitability.
He also highlighted SpaceX’s launch capacity, saying its Falcon class delivers roughly 2,500 tons to orbit each year, representing about 80% to 90% of Earth’s total payload volume.
Looking ahead, Cramer focused on Starlink as the near-term commercial driver, noting it operates in 167 global markets and added 1.7 million subscribers in one quarter, with Gwynne Shotwell expecting continued share gains from legacy telecom carriers.
