Voyager Technologies shares surge after stronger quarter and raised outlook

Voyager reported revenue up 51% versus the prior three months, with its backlog rising 22% sequentially.

Yahoo Finance reports that CNBC's Jim Cramer took a cautious view on Rocket Lab, calling it a pure speculative play, while expressing a preference for Voyager Technologies.

Cramer’s comments followed Voyager’s second-quarter results reviewed on an August 4 segment after he interviewed management. He pointed to expanding government defense contracts, sequential revenue acceleration, and a growing backlog, arguing the company is seeing demand build faster than it can convert into revenue.

According to the report, Voyager said revenue rose 51% versus the prior three months, it posted a narrower-than-expected loss, and its backlog increased 22% sequentially. The company also raised its full-year revenue forecast substantially, with some of the change attributed to its acquisition of Astrobotic.

The stock jumped 14% the day after the quarter, then rallied another 19.6% the following day, though it remains down about 55% from its post-IPO highs last summer. The report also cites a shift in hedge fund sentiment, with Voyager holders rising from 35 in Q4 2025 to 37 in Q1 2026, while Rocket Lab holders fell from 45 to 43 over the same period.
