Russian drones kill four in Kyiv region as air defenses struggle
Kyiv also reported striking an oil refinery in Russia amid fuel shortages tied to repeated attacks on energy facilities.
Russian attacks using drones killed four people, including a three-year-old child, in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, local authorities said Saturday, after multiple drones destroyed a home.
Three other members of the same family and a neighbor who came to their aid were hospitalized, according to the report.
The latest strikes come as residents endure regular drone and missile barrages, and Ukraine says its depleted air defenses are struggling to counter the attacks amid Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The report also cited a Ukrainian strike on another oil refinery in Russia, as attacks on oil facilities have contributed to fuel shortages and heightened uncertainty for people on both sides, according to SCMP Economy.
