6,494 BTC moved to a Binance-linked wallet fuels sell-off anxiety

The cluster of transactions, routed through addresses historically attributed to Binance, moved about $423 million worth of BTC and could indicate exchange deposit-and-sweep activity.

CryptoSlate reports that an unidentified Bitcoin address took in more than 6,494 BTC over the span from July 19 to Aug. 8 and then moved its full confirmed balance through transactions that also paid a wallet historically attributed to Binance.

The flow was worth roughly $423 million, according to the on-chain reconstruction, and the analysis said the ledger does not show a way to identify the owner, separate a customer deposit from Binance staging, or determine what trades, if any, occurred inside the venue.

Across 70 confirmed transactions, the address later spent the same total, and by the reporting snapshot it showed a zero confirmed balance, with 25 transactions used from the original funds.

CryptoSlate added that the pattern is consistent with deposit-and-sweep behavior often used by exchanges to consolidate incoming coins into exchange infrastructure, but the lack of proof on current control leaves uncertainty around the market signal, with Bitcoin trading near $65,178 at the time of analysis.
