Asian bank stocks rally as investors rotate from AI volatility
Investors are shifting toward banks viewed as dividend-supported and less exposed to the artificial intelligence trade, with the move tied to expectations of more resilient earnings and domestic-economy exposure.
Asian bank stocks have been posting one of their strongest runs in years as investors look to reduce exposure to the increasingly volatile artificial intelligence trade, according to a report cited by Hedgeweek from Bloomberg.
The rotation is flowing toward banks that are seen as offering dividends, more resilient earnings, and greater linkage to domestic economic conditions.
Hedgeweek said the trend reflects investors seeking a relative “shelter” from AI-related volatility rather than maintaining concentrated positions in the AI trade.
