Crown Holdings wins permits for 10-story Bronx senior housing project
The roughly 55,000-square-foot, all-electric building is set to add 95 AIRS units and includes a rooftop solar array.
ConnectCRE reports that permits have been approved for a new 10-story affordable senior housing development at 105 W. Tremont Ave. in the Morris Heights neighborhood of the Bronx.
The project is being developed by Crown Holdings in partnership with The Community Builders, and it will provide 95 Affordable Independent Residences for Seniors, known as AIRS.
Designed by Crown Architecture, the development is expected to be about 55,000 square feet and 100 feet tall, with onsite amenities and resident support services.
The building will follow Passive House design standards as part of a sustainability agenda, including an all-electric design and an approximately 1,800-square-foot rooftop solar array.
