Kraken adds S&P 500 perpetual to its funded trading program
The new S&P 500 product runs on a perpetual structure priced off an oracle tracking the index, with up to 5x leverage and $1 million max notional exposure in Kraken Prop funded accounts.
Kraken has added an S&P 500 perpetual product to its Kraken Prop funded trading program, expanding the exchange’s multi-asset rollout with around the clock exposure to the US equity benchmark, Cointelegraph reports.
According to a company blog post, the S&P 500 is structured as a perpetual priced off an index oracle that tracks the S&P 500, rather than a standardized futures contract, so it has no expiration date or rollover requirement.
Kraken said traders can access the S&P 500 through Kraken Prop evaluation and funded accounts, with up to 5x leverage and a maximum notional exposure of $1 million. Kraken Prop includes evaluation plans starting at $20 and funded account sizes ranging from $5,000 to $200,000.
The S&P 500 becomes the second traditional market available through Kraken Prop, following the Nasdaq 100, and Kraken said it plans to add commodities as the program expands beyond equities. The update comes after Kraken in July moved to offer retail access to the Jersey Mike’s initial public offering through direct share allocations in the US and tokenized shares in more than 110 countries.
