Paraguay opens probe into death of crypto fund executive
Investigators are weighing multiple possibilities, including accident, suicide, or foul play, while prosecutors await an autopsy after the suspected fall.
Paraguayan police have opened an investigation into the death of Harry Yeh Chun-tak, a Hong Kong-born cryptocurrency fund executive. The probe follows speculation after he was found dead outside his residential building in Asuncion.
According to SCMP Economy, Yeh was found outside the Jade Park residential complex after a suspected fall from a 30th-floor flat earlier this week. Prosecutors said all hypotheses remain open, including accident, suicide, or foul play.
SCMP Economy also reports that the body was moved to a morgue for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death. Investigators who entered the 30th-floor flat reportedly found the doors open and the interior in disarray, with local police saying the body was covered with a black plastic bag.
