Robinhood to launch zero-fee crypto trading for eligible UK customers
The UK offering will route trading through its Bitstamp UK unit and give users direct access to more than 50 digital assets.
Robinhood Markets plans to launch zero-fee cryptocurrency trading for eligible customers in the United Kingdom this week, using its Bitstamp UK subsidiary to provide direct exposure to more than 50 digital assets, according to Yahoo Finance.
The move includes waiving trading, custody, and account maintenance fees while offering AI-powered market analysis through Robinhood Cortex Digests, as the company seeks to take share from higher-fee domestic competitors.
Robinhood shares have been under pressure since early July, but the stock is still up about 45% versus its year-to-date low. Yahoo Finance also cited the firm’s Q2 platform assets reaching $369 billion, along with a 39% increase in Gold subscribers and net deposits of $21.7 billion.
Yahoo Finance further pointed to an earnings update that lowered the company’s full-year 2026 operating expense range to $2.675 billion to $2.775 billion, and noted a $1.37 billion buyback authorization alongside the UK expansion.
