US CPI rose 0.1% month-on-month in July, core pressures subdued
The year-on-year CPI rate eased to 3.4% in July, and energy prices fell 1.5% month-on-month led by lower pump prices.
US inflationary pressures stayed muted in July, with the Consumer Price Index rising 0.1% month-on-month, matching expectations, according to Action Forex.
On a 12-month basis, CPI edged down to 3.4% from 3.5% in June.
Energy costs declined 1.5% month-on-month, driven by a 2.9% drop in gasoline prices.
Food prices rose 0.1% month-on-month, marking its softest pace.
