Copper Markets US becomes FINRA member and SEC-registered broker-dealer
Copper said its US arm is set to offer qualified custody, staking, financing, and OTC services, including access to its ClearLoop Network for pledging and moving crypto and tokenized assets as collateral.
Copper has expanded its US crypto infrastructure footprint after its local entity was accepted as a member of FINRA and registered with the SEC as a broker-dealer, according to Cointelegraph.
Cointelegraph reports that Copper Markets (US) Inc. was accepted as a FINRA member, enabling the firm to broaden its institutional custody and trading infrastructure in the US. FINRA BrokerCheck records cited in the report show an approved SEC registration status dated Aug. 7, with FINRA listed as the company’s self-regulatory organization.
Copper said the move establishes its US presence as a “Qualified Custodian,” tied to SEC rules for broker-dealers that hold client assets in customer accounts.
Cointelegraph adds that Copper Markets (US) plans to offer qualified custody, staking, financing, and over-the-counter services, with access to its ClearLoop Network, which allows institutions to pledge and move crypto and tokenized assets as collateral between counterparties.
