Iran says Strait of Hormuz remains blocked as traffic hits 3-month lows
CNBC reports the Persian Strait Gulf Authority said the strait will not reopen until Iran’s conditions are accepted, as vessel traffic falls to near 3-month lows.
Iran is disputing U.S. claims about shipping conditions near the Strait of Hormuz, with CNBC Markets citing the Persian Strait Gulf Authority statement that the strait remains blocked.
The authority said the waterway will not be reopened until Iran’s conditions are accepted, according to the report.
CNBC World also linked the situation to softer tanker and vessel traffic, noting traffic is at near 3-month lows amid the dispute.
