South Korea sentences Delio CEO to 15 years in crypto fraud case
The judge acquitted the CEO of a primary charge, resulting in a 15-year term rather than the 20 years prosecutors sought.
South Korea has sentenced Delio’s chief executive to 15 years in prison over a $50 million cryptocurrency fraud case, according to The Block.
The outlet reported that prosecutors had sought a 20-year term, but the judge handed down the shorter sentence.
The Block said the sentencing outcome reflected the court’s decision to acquit the CEO of a primary charge.
