Trezor discloses data breach tied to nearly 14,000 wallet buyers
The company said impacted customers could face more phishing attempts after order data was exposed by a shipping provider.
Trezor announced a data breach that exposed sensitive order information tied to 13,689 customers who bought its hardware wallet in multiple countries, according to Bitcoin Magazine.
The affected customers include buyers from the US, UK, Sweden, Colombia, Brazil, Italy, and Portugal, with the company pointing to orders placed within 90 days prior to August 8.
Trezor said its systems and devices remain secure, but it warned that affected customers could see an increase in phishing attempts, with leaked details potentially used to impersonate banks, crypto exchanges, or Trezor.
The company reported that 11,742 customers had names, emails, phone numbers, and shipping addresses leaked, while another 1,947 customers had names, cities, and emails exposed.
