Japan’s yen resumes its slide after U.S. Treasury intervention
The yen’s renewed weakness is eroding earlier gains, as concerns grow about Japan’s spending direction.
The New York Times Business reports that the yen has resumed its decline, eroding gains that had followed earlier support efforts.
The outlet said the currency’s slide continued after the U.S. Treasury intervened to help prop it up.
While the intervention provided temporary relief, the renewed pressure comes as concerns mount over the direction of Japan’s spending, adding uncertainty around the currency’s outlook.
