US accuses nine Latin American countries of aiding China tariff evasion

The White House said Chinese exporters have routed goods through third countries to get around US tariffs.

The US has accused nine Latin American countries of helping Chinese exporters avoid US tariffs, according to a White House report cited by SCMP Economy.

SCMP Economy reports that the White House specifically pointed to three Latin American governments that took action against Chinese commercial interests over the past year.

In its allegation, the White House said Chinese exporters have used third countries as a route to evade US tariffs.
