Bitcoin could bottom in October, Swan CEO flags a possible $57,000 drop

Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten said Bitcoin may fall to as low as $53,000 to $57,000 before recovering toward about $130,000 ahead of the 2028 halving.

Bitcoin could bottom in October and then rebound, according to Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten, who told Cointelegraph that the timing would be roughly a year after the prior cycle peak.

Klippsten linked his outlook to Bitcoin’s historical pattern of bottoming about 12 months after previous bull market peaks, noting that Bitcoin topped above $126,000 in early October 2025, which he said points to an October bottom. He also cautioned that it would be risky to extrapolate from only a few prior cycles.

In the same interview, Klippsten said Bitcoin could fall to $57,000, or even $53,000, before a quick recovery, and he projected prices could reach around $130,000 ahead of the 2028 halving. He also described his view that crypto’s best outcome is for the sector to become part of TradFi.

On altcoins, Klippsten argued that centralized crypto businesses will eventually be brought under traditional finance regulation. Cointelegraph also cited DefiLlama data on Hyperliquid’s recent revenue and noted that the HYPE token was up 130% year-to-date, while Bitcoin was down 28% over the same period, according to TradingView.
