Freshpet leases entire 216,000-square-foot cold storage in Bethlehem
The cold storage development at 757 Hellertown Road is slated for completion by year end and marks Freshpet’s first dedicated cold storage facility.
J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. and BGO Cold Chain said Freshpet has leased the entire 216,000-square-foot cold storage development at 757 Hellertown Road in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, according to ConnectCRE.
The facility is expected to be completed on time and on budget by the end of the year. The project was developed through a joint venture between Petrucci and BGO Cold Chain.
ConnectCRE reports the Bethlehem location is Freshpet’s first dedicated cold storage facility, designed to support distribution of its temperature-sensitive products.
The story also notes the site’s proximity to Freshpet’s existing Bethlehem Kitchen, with access to I-78 and other major roadways. Construction was completed by Petrucci’s in-house construction management firm, Iron Hill Construction Management.
