Intel CEO buys $10 million of shares at $95 after rally
Lip-Bu Tan purchased 105,263 Intel shares at $95 each, matching the price investors paid in the company’s $20 billion secondary offering.
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has increased his personal stake by buying $10 million worth of shares at $95, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission cited by Yahoo Finance.
The purchase was made after Intel’s stock had already surged, with the shares bought at the same $95 price that public investors paid in a concurrent $20 billion secondary offering.
After the transaction, Tan’s beneficial holding was described as topping 1.3 million shares worth over $130 million, with the purchase framed as a bet on a turnaround following a 177% rally in 2026.
Yahoo Finance also pointed to Intel’s business mix and growth, saying AI-linked businesses now account for 60% of total revenue and that Q2 sales were $16 billion, up 25% year over year.
