SafePal breach exposed personal data of about 39,798 customers

SafePal said the exposed records cover orders placed between March 2, 2025, and April 11, 2026, and it found no evidence funds or private keys were compromised.

SafePal said an authorization flaw in an order-tracking plugin exposed personal data for about 39,798 customers, including names, email addresses, shipping addresses, phone numbers, and purchase details, according to The Block. The company said the information came from orders placed between Mar. 2, 2025, and Apr. 11, 2026.

SafePal added that private keys and seed phrases were unaffected and that it found no evidence that user funds were directly compromised by the incident, The Block reported. The wallet provider said it identified the root cause only recently.

The Block said SafePal warned affected users could be targeted with phishing and impersonation attempts, including messages posing as SafePal employees offering firmware updates, refunds, or replacement devices. SafePal also said it has not disclosed when the flaw was introduced, when customer records were first accessed, or how many attackers may have obtained the data.

The Block noted that public complaints appear to have surfaced before SafePal's Sunday disclosure, including a Trustpilot review dated July 4 alleging scammers impersonated SafePal and contacted the user with account information.
