Bitpanda fined after Austria rules breached crypto marketing and disclosures
Austria’s financial regulator said the fine followed breaches tied to Bitpanda’s crypto white papers and marketing communications under MiCA rules, and the decision is now final.
Cointelegraph reports that Austria’s financial regulator, the FMA, fined Bitpanda for breaching requirements under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto Assets, or MiCA.
The FMA said the problems related to Bitpanda’s crypto white papers and its marketing communications, and it characterized the decision as final.
With the penalty now settled, the ruling marks Austria’s first published MiCA enforcement action, according to the report.
