GBP/USD pushes to fresh three-month highs above 1.3550
The move comes as a US dollar selling bias persisted, with Fed expectations shifting after weaker-than-expected US economic data.
GBP/USD climbed to fresh three-month highs above 1.3550 during the European session, extending prior strength and staying supported by a prevailing US dollar selling bias, FXStreet said.
EUR/USD also extended its advance, holding above 1.1600 in European trading on Monday as the US dollar weakened.
FXStreet attributed the dollar move to softer US economic data that shifted market Fed expectations and reduced a geopolitical risk premium.
Separately, the outlet said Commerzbank flagged rising growth risks in China going into the second half of the year, citing July activity data that missed expectations across industrial output, retail sales and fixed-asset investment.
