Fidelity Blue Chip Growth ETF draws $1B in net inflows this year
ETF Trends said the Fidelity Blue Chip Growth ETF, ticker FBCG, is about a $7 billion fund after gathering roughly $1 billion in net new money this year.
ETF Trends discussed Fidelity Blue Chip Growth ETF (FBCG) on its “ETF of the Week” podcast episode, featuring VettaFi Head of Research Todd Rosenbluth and Money Life host Chuck Jaffe.
Rosenbluth said FBCG has gathered roughly $1 billion of net new money this year and is now about a $7 billion ETF. He also noted the fund is roughly 6 to 7 years old.
The discussion also clarified that FBCG should not be confused with Fidelity Blue Chip Fund, ticker FBGRX, describing it as a different portfolio rather than a simple wrapper change.
Rosenbluth said the fund’s strategy and holdings have evolved over time, pointing to a portfolio that includes many mega-cap growth stocks and emphasizing the role of active management, especially as performance among the “Mag Seven” mega-cap names has diverged during earnings season.
