Portman advances 714,233-SF Houston warehouse project with new financing
Development of Gateway 1960 is scheduled to start this month, with delivery targeted for Q3 2027.
Portman has closed on the land and construction loan for Gateway 1960, a three-building, Class-A industrial park in Houston spanning 714,233 square feet, according to ConnectCRE.
The transaction clears the way for development to begin this month, and Portman plans to deliver the project in Q3 2027. Gateway 1960 will include a 440,323-square-foot cross-dock building, a 157,723-square-foot front-load building, and a 116,293-square-foot rear-load building.
ConnectCRE reports that Partners will lead marketing and leasing for Gateway 1960 on behalf of Portman. The project team includes Angler Construction as general contractor, Powers Brown Architecture as architect, and Langan as civil engineer.
ConnectCRE also notes that Portman launched its industrial business line in 2021. The company said it currently has a portfolio of 4.5 million square feet developed and 6.4 million square feet under development across key markets including Boston, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Charleston, and Austin.
