South Korea moves to block Polymarket over gambling concerns
South Korea is taking steps to block Polymarket, according to Cointelegraph.
The Korea Media and Communications Commission said Polymarket’s structure and operations amount to illegal gambling even though the platform is described as noncustodial and relies on smart contracts.
The regulator’s view centers on how Polymarket operates rather than on the underlying smart contract design, Cointelegraph reports.
