Bank of America and PNC lead Keynova’s 2026 home equity scorecard
Keynova Group found one-third of lenders now offer accelerated home equity closing and funding, after the share doubled over the past year.
HousingWire reports Keynova Group’s 2026 Mortgage-Home Equity Scorecard ranked Bank of America and PNC first place for the second straight year among 12 U.S. mortgage and home equity lenders.
The scorecard, produced annually since 2005, evaluates digital capabilities across the application process, closing and funding, relationship-building tools, and educational resources.
According to HousingWire, Keynova said faster closings and fundings have become a key battleground in home lending, citing expanded e-signatures and remote closing tools, along with more incentives and visual education to improve the borrower experience.
HousingWire also reports that accelerated home equity closing and funding offerings have become more widespread, with the number of lenders providing them doubling over the past year to about one-third, and that lenders are using tools like automated asset valuation models and data integration to speed underwriting.
