China’s LandSpace recovers first stage of Zhuque-3 rocket
The Zhuque-3 used an eight-minute flight to deploy a Honghu-3 internet satellite, then recovered the 66-metre first stage in Gansu.
China-based LandSpace successfully launched its Zhuque-3 rocket and recovered the first stage, a step aimed at building reusable booster technology to reduce the cost of space launches, according to SCMP Economy.
The 66-metre rocket flew for about eight minutes before landing its first stage in Minqin County in Gansu province, northwest China, following its descent and recovery attempt.
SCMP Economy reported that the rocket delivered the Honghu-3 internet satellite as part of the mission.
