AutoZone stands out in consumer discretionary growth list
The retailer sells aftermarket automotive parts and accessories to do it yourself customers, while nearly 75% of its home-market sales still come from that segment, according to the write-up.
Benzinga highlighted AutoZone as a consumer discretionary stock it views as having significant growth opportunities, focusing on the company’s position in aftermarket automotive parts, tools, and accessories for do it yourself customers in the United States.
The outlet said AutoZone is also increasing the share of sales coming from domestic commercial customers, while the do it yourself operation remains dominant in its home market, accounting for nearly 75% of sales in the country.
Benzinga further noted AutoZone has expanded internationally, with a growing presence in Mexico and Brazil, and it listed store counts as of the end of fiscal 2021, including 6,051 stores in the U.S., 664 in Mexico, and 52 in Brazil.
