Mattamy Homes appoints Chris Lindhorst as U.S. CEO starting 2026
Keith Bass will retire as U.S. CEO effective Sept. 1, 2026, and Lindhorst will oversee all U.S. operations after joining as COO in February 2026.
Mattamy Homes announced a planned leadership transition for its U.S. operations, with longtime U.S. CEO Keith Bass set to retire effective Sept. 1, 2026. The company said its current U.S. COO, Chris Lindhorst, will step up to become U.S. CEO.
Lindhorst joined Mattamy as U.S. COO in February 2026 after more than 16 years at D.R. Horton. The builder said he brings more than 20 years of homebuilding leadership experience, including senior roles most recently as regional president overseeing operations that delivered more than 13,000 home closings annually across 11 markets in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico.
Mattamy said Lindhorst will oversee all aspects of Mattamy’s American operations and advance the company’s long-term growth strategy. HousingWire reports that Bass has led the U.S. business since 2020, and during his six-year tenure the segment posted record revenues, earnings, and community counts while navigating pandemic-era demand swings, rapid rate hikes, and shifting affordability.
The company also highlighted that it maintains a U.S. corporate headquarters in Florida. In the announcement, vice chair Larry Nicholson credited Bass with strengthening and expanding the U.S. platform during what he called extraordinary market conditions and industry change, and described Lindhorst as a proven leader with deep operational expertise and a track record of delivering results at scale.
