Crypto rally lifts total market cap to $2.51T amid ETF inflows
Bitcoin climbed to about $75.5K in Europe, while US spot Bitcoin ETF inflows on 19 August topped $517 million and sentiment pushed near “extreme greed” levels.
The cryptocurrency market extended its rally, adding nearly 7% over the past 24 hours to bring total market capitalization to $2.51T, signaling a shift toward bullish sentiment, according to Action Forex.
Market cap is up 18% since the start of the week and has risen 24% from a low of $2.04T in early July, the outlet said. It also pointed to a rising sentiment index at 72, which is three points below the “extreme greed” threshold.
Bitcoin rose to roughly $75.5K during active trading in Europe, and the article said the move does not yet show the large 20% to 30% intraday swings seen during earlier phases, suggesting short-position closing so far. Technical resistance was identified around $82K to $87K, while the outlet added that short liquidations on 19 August exceeded a prior record set on 10 October 2025.
The rally coincided with additional ETF demand, with US spot Bitcoin ETF inflows exceeding $517 million on 19 August, the highest since early May, and US spot Ethereum ETFs posting their best performance since mid-October 2024, Action Forex reported. The piece also cited political momentum around a “fair version” of the CLARITY Act and noted the HYPE token surged 23% after US President Donald Trump’s remarks tied to Hyperliquid.
