Hedge funds lag S&P 500 in July by worst margin in decades

CNBC Markets reports that Goldman data shows hedge funds recorded their worst underperformance versus the S&P 500 in July in more than 20 years of available records.

CNBC World echoed the same point, citing the same Goldman assessment of hedge fund performance relative to the benchmark.
