Shein set to begin IPO process, targeting Hong Kong listing by Sept. 1
Shein is starting the initial public offering process Monday after years of failed attempts to list in New York and London.
Fast-fashion retailer Shein is moving toward an IPO, with the company expected to begin the initial-public-offering process on Monday and aim to list shares in Hong Kong by Sept. 1, according to MarketWatch citing Reuters sources.
MarketWatch reports that the company previously attempted to go public in New York and London before pursuing the current path to a Hong Kong debut.
The IPO effort comes after Shein first floated plans in 2022, when it reached a peak private funding-round valuation of $100 billion, MarketWatch said.
