Webull reports record Q2 results as trading activity jumps
Revenue rose 51% year over year to $198.8 million, helped by a 62% increase in DARTs and higher options volume after the PDT rule was removed on June 4.
Webull reported record second-quarter 2026 results, with revenue increasing 51% year over year to $198.8 million as transaction and interest-related income rose on stronger trading activity, according to Yahoo Finance. Adjusted operating profit climbed 169% to $62.6 million, with the company noting expenses grew more slowly than revenue.
The firm said the defining event of the quarter was the June 4 elimination of the Pattern Day Trader, or PDT, rule. Webull’s CEO Anthony Denier said its technology enabled qualified customers to make unlimited day trades under its zero-commission model after the rule change.
Trading volumes surged, with daily average revenue trades, or DARTs, up 62% year over year to 1.64 million. Equity notional trading volume reached $279 billion, up 73%, while options volume rose 68% year over year to 213 million contracts.
Webull also reported customer assets climbing 79% to $28.5 billion, and said prediction-markets revenue grew 71% sequentially to roughly $5 million to $6 million. Denier added that activity remained elevated into July and August and that the PDT rule removal shifted customer behavior toward more smaller trades rather than conserving limited day trades.
