Nvidia invests in Cloverleaf Infrastructure for data center power deals
Cloverleaf, founded in 2024, has sold projects totaling more than 7 gigawatts of power to developers, and plans to use Nvidia DSX to design AI data centers.
Nvidia is making a minority investment in Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a data center power company focused on securing power agreements with utilities so developers can build with reliable electricity access. HousingWire reports that the chipmaker expects to invest several hundred million dollars in the deal, though the terms were not disclosed.
Cloverleaf says it was founded in 2024 and has sold projects totaling more than 7 gigawatts of power to developers. The partnership is also set to allow Cloverleaf to use Nvidia DSX, a platform aimed at designing and optimizing AI data centers across site, power, cooling, computing, and facility decisions.
Nvidia framed the investment around demand for power needed for artificial intelligence infrastructure, with its leadership saying land, power, and shell are key building blocks for what it calls the infrastructure of the intelligence age. The company added that the collaboration is intended to accelerate AI infrastructure build-outs.
For the transaction, J.P. Morgan Securities acted as the exclusive financial adviser and Kirkland & Ellis provided legal counsel to Cloverleaf. Nvidia also noted it has been expanding investment across the data center ecosystem as AI competition drives demand for capacity.
