Plano nears approval for 242-unit senior independent living facility
The planning commission has approved the 5-story project, leaving only city council approval before construction can become final.
ConnectCRE reports that Integrated Senior Lifestyles is moving closer to building a 242-unit independent living facility in Plano, after the city planning commission approved the venture.
The project is planned near Ohio Drive and Park Boulevard at the former site of the Plano Athletic Club, which closed in 2025.
The proposed development would be a five-story building with amenities including restaurant-style dining, a coffee bistro, a bar lounge, an indoor/outdoor pool, fitness facilities such as a yoga studio and indoor pickleball court, plus spaces like a library and art studio.
ConnectCRE said the plan is not final yet, with city council approval still required for the project to proceed.
