Fed study finds crypto investors react differently to beliefs and returns
The study says information about Bitcoin’s past gains can both raise desired crypto allocations and increase actual buying behavior.
A Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland study examined how crypto investors form views on returns and risk, finding that they often hold sharply different beliefs.
The research also links those beliefs to behavior, saying that exposure to information about Bitcoin’s past gains can increase both the amount investors say they want to allocate to crypto and the amount they actually buy.
Cointelegraph reports the study suggests crypto participation can be influenced not just by market performance, but by what investors think crypto will deliver and how easily they adjust those expectations in response to return-related information.
