SPDR-led flows stand out in US ETF league tables

Yahoo Finance introduced an ETF league table view of the US ETF market, organized by brand and issuer, to help investors compare funds across different identification methods.

The page explains that an ETF’s brand, such as iShares, can be distinct from the legal issuer behind it, such as BlackRock, because some issuers license ETF infrastructure to third parties.

It also notes that FactSet is used to determine the correct brand and legal issuer for the data presented.
