Bob’s Red Mill reformulates its gluten-free 1-1 baking flour
The updated flour is again mixed and packaged in the company’s dedicated 100% gluten-free facility and is tested to verify gluten-free status.
Bob’s Red Mill has reformulated its gluten-free 1-1 baking flour, originally launched in 2017, as the company said it is improving taste and texture while keeping “cup-for-cup performance” for bakers.
The new formula uses a blend of gluten-free ingredients, including whole grain brown rice flour, whole grain sorghum flour, sweet white rice flour, potato starch, tapioca flour, and xanthan gum.
Bob’s Red Mill said the reformulated flour will be mixed and packaged in its dedicated 100% gluten-free facility, with additional testing to verify gluten-free status. The company also noted the product is in updated packaging for the first time.
The reformulated gluten-free 1-1 baking flour is available now at retailers including Costco, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Amazon, Albertsons, Kroger, Publix, and Wegmans, according to World Grain.
