Gallagher Re names Pierre Guntzberger managing director for Western Europe
The appointment tasks Guntzberger with expanding Gallagher Re’s facultative reinsurance portfolio across France, Germany, and Switzerland, with additional support for growth in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Austria.
Gallagher Re has appointed Pierre Guntzberger as Managing Director, Western Europe, Facultative, based in London, according to Reinsurance News.
Guntzberger brings more than 20 years of reinsurance experience from roles across London and Paris, and Gallagher Re said he has a track record of building high-performing teams and expanding client relationships throughout Europe.
In his new role, he will work closely with Gallagher Re’s existing facultative teams to expand the firm’s facultative portfolio across Western Europe, initially focusing on France, Germany, and Switzerland.
Gallagher Re said the executive also will support broader growth in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Austria, and Reinsurance News noted that he joins from Miller Insurance, where he led a global facultative reinsurance team.
