Omnia Re appoints Neema as sole underwriting partner for Africa
The deal also allows Neema to underwrite on Omnia Re’s behalf for risks from additional regions, including parts of Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and North America.
Omnia Re has partnered with Neema Insurance Managing Agency to expand access to specialist reinsurance solutions across Africa and other emerging markets, according to Reinsurance News.
Under the agreement, Omnia Re appointed Neema as its sole underwriting partner for all African cedants and risks, with the firms saying the setup is meant to streamline engagement, improve responsiveness, and provide local support backed by Omnia Re’s international reinsurance resources.
Neema has also reportedly been given capacity to underwrite risks on behalf of Omnia Re from other territories, including certain countries in Asia, the Middle East, North America, and South America.
The two companies said the partnership combines Omnia Re’s international capacity with Neema’s regional expertise and underwriting capabilities, aiming to give brokers, insurers, and cedants enhanced access to specialist reinsurance across a range of classes.
