Bitdeer to deploy 28 MW of mining at Soluna’s Texas wind site
The co-mining deal will use SEALMINER A2 Pro Air machines starting September 2026 and is designed to shift Soluna from hosting-only revenue toward shared mining economics.
Bitdeer Technologies Group has signed a 28-megawatt co-mining agreement with Soluna Holdings for its wind-powered Project Kati 1 site in South Texas, adding about 1.93 EH/s of Bitcoin mining capacity, according to Yahoo Finance.
Bitdeer will deploy SEALMINER A2 Pro Air machines beginning in September 2026, with capacity expected to come online in batches. Soluna will provide the site, power, and turnkey operations, while Bitdeer will own the mining equipment, and the companies will share proceeds generated by the deployment.
The agreement also changes how Soluna’s Bitcoin platform monetizes the infrastructure it already operates. Rather than relying only on hosting revenue, Soluna will participate directly in mining economics alongside Bitdeer, adding exposure to production from its renewable-powered assets, the outlet said.
Project Kati 1 is an 83 MW data center in Willacy County that delivered first gross profit in the second quarter, and the new deployment will be located in the K1BC phase. Yahoo Finance added that Soluna currently operates 192 MW of data center capacity across Kentucky and Texas, with another 14 MW under construction at Kati 1, and a total wider pipeline of 6.3 GW across projects in planning, development, and assessment.
