Canada announces retaliatory tariffs on about $20B of U.S. goods
The move follows talks in which Canadian trade negotiators left the U.S. after failing to secure an agreement to prevent the tariffs from starting.
Canada has announced retaliatory tariffs targeting about $20 billion worth of U.S. goods, according to CNBC Markets.
The outlet said Canadian trade negotiators departed the U.S. last week after they were unable to reach a trade deal that would have stopped President Donald Trump 's new tariffs from taking effect.
