Cardinal Health medical segment chief sells $8 million in CAH shares
The executive sold 35,000 shares on August 18 at a weighted average price of $236.4, leaving 18,061 shares worth about $4.24 million based on that day’s close.
Cardinal Health insider trading filings show that Stephen M. Mason, CEO of the firm’s Medical Segment, sold 35,000 shares of Cardinal Health, Inc. (NYSE: CAH) on August 18, with the transaction value based on the SEC Form 4 weighted average sale price of $236.40 per share, according to a Yahoo Finance summary.
The sale represented a majority of Mason’s direct holding, leaving him with 18,061 shares after the transaction. Based on the August 18 market close, the remaining stake had a market value of about $4.24 million, the coverage notes.
Leading up to the trade, Cardinal Health had a 57% one-year total return as of the transaction date. The stock finished August 19 at $234.85 after the sale day.
Yahoo Finance also highlighted Cardinal Health’s scale, citing a $55.0 billion market capitalization and trailing-twelve-month revenue of $254.2 billion with net income of $1.7 billion. The company operates as a global healthcare services and products provider spanning pharmaceutical distribution and medical products, with operations across the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and other international markets.
