Crypto fund founder convicted over fake trading bot scheme

Prosecutors said Japheth Dillman told investors the trading bot was finished and running, while he took nearly $1 million.

A crypto fund founder has been convicted of fraud connected to a fake trading bot scheme, according to Decrypt.

The outlet said Japheth Dillman told investors that Block Bits Capital’s Autotrader software was complete and already operating.

Investigators said Dillman used the pitch to raise money and took nearly $1 million as part of the scheme, Decrypt reported.
