Houthis attack Saudi oil tanker Amzan in Red Sea, using missiles and drones
Saudi Arabia confirmed the incident, and the tanker Amzan was described by Bahri as involved in a hostile situation in regional waters.
Yemen's Houthis targeted the Saudi oil tanker Amzan in the Red Sea off Yanbu on Monday, using ballistic missiles and drones, the Iran-aligned group announced, according to OilPrice.
Saudi Arabia later confirmed the attack, and Saudi shipping company Bahri said the Amzan vessel was involved in a hostile incident in regional waters, the report said.
The Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree described the strikes as part of a broader “siege for siege” operation aimed at Saudi targets, the article added.
The Houthis also claimed attacks on Saudi military convoys carrying equipment to Yemeni government forces, and the Yemeni Armed Forces described additional operations that targeted Saudi convoys and forces using ballistic missiles and drones, according to the text provided.
