Mac Cosmetics leases 5,325 sq ft at 579 Broadway for new SoHo flagship

The brand will take possession of the storefront in January, with AllSaints continuing to occupy the space through year end.

Mac Cosmetics has signed a lease for a new flagship location in Manhattan’s SoHo, choosing 579 Broadway between Prince and East Houston streets, according to Commercial Observer, citing an announcement from landlord broker Newmark.

The makeup brand will occupy 5,325 square feet across the building, planning to use about 3,825 square feet on the ground floor and 1,500 square feet in lower-level space.

The move is described as a relocation of roughly two blocks from Mac’s current spot along Bloomingdale’s at 506 Broadway, with the landlord at 579 Broadway, Lord Shivas Properties, represented by Newmark’s Ariel Schuster, Michael Paster, and Logan Ryan.

Commercial Observer reports that Mac is expected to take possession in January, while British fashion retailer AllSaints, the current occupant, will remain through the end of the year.
