Bharat Electronics wins ₹730 crore in new defence orders
The latest order covers areas including communication equipment and radars, and comes after prior wins in August, late July, and June.
Bharat Electronics Ltd shares are expected to draw investor attention on Thursday, August 27, after the company said it secured additional defence orders worth ₹730 crore in a post-market regulatory filing.
LiveMint Markets reports the new awards include communication equipment, radars, avionics, tank subsystems, electro-optics, cybersecurity, perimeter security, medical electronics, EVMs, jammers, batteries, and spares and services.
The order win adds to a recent string of contracts for the company, including ₹541 crore secured on August 10, ₹847 crore in late July, and ₹1,081 crore in June, which together have supported improved sentiment toward the stock.
The report also notes that BEL’s financial performance for the June quarter was mixed, with net profit up 8.2% year-on-year to ₹1,048 crore in Q1FY27, but down 52.4% sequentially. Revenue from operations rose 25.3% year-on-year to ₹5,533 crore, while falling 45.6% sequentially, and the stock’s nearly 5% August gain has helped it recover part of its July drop.
