Phantom will remove Sui from its wallet interface on Sept. 24

Phantom says the cutoff ends balance display and Sui sends, swaps, and app connections, but it does not end ownership or later access to Sui assets via compatible wallets.

Phantom will remove Sui from its wallet interface on Sept. 24, about a month after announcing the end of its Sui integration, according to CryptoSlate. After the transition, Phantom will no longer display Sui balances, support Sui sends or swaps, or connect to decentralized applications through Phantom for Sui-linked activity.

The assets themselves will remain on the Sui blockchain, tied to the credentials that authorize the account, CryptoSlate reported. Phantom’s transition guide says users can restore access through a compatible wallet even after the cutoff, with Sept. 24 ending Phantom-based access rather than ownership.

CryptoSlate noted that Phantom previously added Sui support on Jan. 29, 2025, and at launch it enabled users to send, receive, and manage Sui assets, swap SUI, and connect to applications including Suilend, Navi, Aftermath, and Bluefin. In practice, that interface support functioned as a distribution surface for Sui as well as a way to view balances across chains.

The article said Phantom’s Aug. 24 announcement provided no specific reason for the split, and it does not disclose an affected user count tied to Sui usage through Phantom. CryptoSlate also cited Sui’s launch post, which referenced Phantom’s total monthly active users, but said those figures do not isolate how many people held or used Sui through the wallet.
