Solana hit record transactions as SOL surged above $100
Solana processed 4.2 billion transactions in July, up 13.5% month over month, as tokenized real-world assets on the network neared $4 billion.
Solana logged record transaction activity in July as SOL jumped more than 40% over eight days, lifting the token above $100 for the first time since February. Cointelegraph reports that Solana processed 4.2 billion transactions in July, up 13.5% from the previous month, with transaction counts rising by about 2 billion since December, a 91% increase. The same period also saw growth in tokenized real-world assets. Cointelegraph, citing RWA.xyz data via The Kobeissi Letter, said distributed RWAs across tracked blockchain networks climbed above $38 billion, while tokenized RWAs on Solana rose to nearly $4 billion, up about 11.8% over the past month. Cointelegraph links the network surge and SOL rally to a broader rebound in crypto markets. The outlet also pointed to a catalyst after the US Treasury Department announced plans to double certain long-dated bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation, a move that pushed yields lower and improved risk appetite across crypto.
